3 ways to light up your home this winter:

Layered Luminosity

Layer your lighting strategically to enhance comfort and make your home look pretty. Combine floor lamps, table lamps and string lights for a well-balanced ambience. If you are lucky enough to have plenty of ceiling light, brilliant! You can dimmer them and still scatter light around the room with strategically placed lamps.

Adding string lights to your mantel will highlight it as the feature of the room. Alternatively, you can arrange fairy lights in the fireplace, providing it is out of use and safe to do so.

Candlelit Tranquility

Candles stand as timeless companions during the winter months. Place them thoughtfully across surfaces like mantels and coffee tables. Opt for scents such as cinnamon or pine to introduce an extra layer of sensory delight, elevating your space with an intimate charm.

For those who prefer faux candles, Lights4Fun have a fabulous selection of LED candles that come in various shapes and sizes from pillar candles to tea-lights.

Harvesting Natural Light

Harnessing the natural daylight by keeping curtains open throughout the day is a must in the autumn. This will allow the room to warm up in the sun and keep the drafts at bay at night when the curtains are shut. The same goes for roman blinds. Make sure they are folded all the way up during the day but lower them in the evening!

Well-placed mirrors and reflective accessories will help reflect and amplify natural light, bringing a brighter and airier feel to your indoor spaces.

PRO TIP: Lower your dimmer switches to allow for the use of floor lamps, table lamps & plenty of candles or fairy lights.
