Why You Should Choose Wood Flooring

There’s no getting away from the fact that a wooden floor looks timeless, stylish and always on-trend.

It looks fabulous! With so many different colours and patterns to choose from, homeowners are spoilt for choice. Take parquet flooring, for example, it looks amazing in contemporary as well as more traditional settings.

It lasts a lifetime.
A good quality wooden floor will last a lifetime and often looks better with age, if well maintained. And if it gets damaged, it can be sanded down, refinished and retreated many times over. In case of modernisation, the floor can be finished in a different colour and it will look brand new at a fraction of the cost of a full flooring replacement.

It’s environmentally friendly, that’s right it is considered an environmentally friendly flooring option as long as you choose a flooring supplier who buys from responsibly managed forests. Some would say that is due to the fact it lasts so well and for so long.

It can be used in every room in the house.
Whether you install solid wood, engineered wood, laminate or LVT (luxury vinyl tile), this is a suitable option for every room in the house.  From bathrooms to kitchens, through to hallways to bedrooms, there truly is a wooden floor for every room.

It is a wise investment choice
. Renovation is expensive and it is always comforting to know that wood flooring helps to keep or even increase the value of your home. This is particularly true when the property is up for sale (or renting).

Before you purchase your wallpaper, I strongly suggest you order plenty of samples before committing to one. This allows you to see how the pattern and colour look in your space.

If the wallpaper you choose is high-end, has a challenging pattern to match or is a mural, you need to ensure it is professionally hung, following the manufacturer’s installation instructions so it is done properly.

ProTip: How to calculate wallpaper quantity

Hardwood flooring will discolour in direct sunlight so be sure to apply a protective coating or finish to keep it in tip-top condition and stop it from fading! Some popular choices are UV-resistant finishings, tinted sealers & stains, oil-based as well as wax finishings.
